Where practicality meets comfort. Meet the Glenister draftsman's chair

Our example of a 1900's Glenister draftsman's chair was designed with the intention of the user being seated for many hours.  With a moulded wooden seat and sprung loaded backrest to tilt to suit.  Also a padded height adjustable back rest, the pad has been tastefully replaced with antiqued leather and metal studs around the edge.

The chair is of a strong sound structure with all the moving parts cleaned and the wood waxed to enrich the finish of the chair.  With wide foot rests these not only give an ample place to rest your feet they make the chair stable.  A coiled metal stem allows the seat to be set by turning either clockwise or anti clockwise to to the required height.

The Glenister draftsman's is not only of great interest and a piece of industrial history.  This chair would be great in a kitchen as an island stool.  For those trying to accommodate a home office where space is challenging, how about a fixed to the wall table top that can be collapsed when not in use.  The chair can then be placed in front.

A great chair, comfortable and good looking built to last several lifetimes.
