I find this little chest very interesting, with all the ironwork protecting the outer edges and lid, certainly made to last. It is in good condition and has been lovingly looked after. The patination on the wood is rich in colour.
Inside is sound and the condition is good, the chest has a slender partition shelf to the righthand side, ideal for pens or artists brushes. There are a couple of ink spots on the wood that maybe hint to a previous life.
The chest measuring 640w x 385d x 420h (mm) would make a great child’s toy or use as a coffee table, or possibly as a side table with your favourite lamp on top.
