Jardinière and Onyx Circular Table - Circa 1860

Jardinière and Onyx Circular Table - Circa 1860

What a great mix! Brass & Onyx are blended together to create something very different.

Looking for a table or maybe something with a twist! You can't go too far wrong with this beautiful design.

Start at the bottom with the the stunning cabriole legs on clawer feet with a large brass ball hanging below. Beading running up over over the legs leading up to the scroll work fixed to the reeded column. Perfectly place in the middle is an Onyx top with a pierced gallery rail adding some nice detail.

The column rise to reach three detailed collars, amd a Jardinière with Gadrooned detailing.

Imagine your preferred trailing house plant hanging down while sipping your favourite drink.

Lots of wear with verdigris visible at different points on the whole piece.

Extremely heavy and sturdy at the same time.

Period: Circa 1860
