An original, rare and unique Kamandalu water pot or vase
Flower arrangements never looked so good when using interesting vessels.
This one differs greatly from most of the tradition shiny brass pots you see on the market. Extremely solid piece weighing in at 2.4 kg.
Unique because it has two delightful cobra snakes as handles either side of the pot. Beautiful shown with their hoods open and facing off at each other across the flared opening and their tails wrapping around to form the shape of a handle.
Together with the extraordinary chased engravings on the cobras body and also across the whole pot.
The chase work is so detailed and depicts wonderful scenes of people, winged god like creatures, animals, birds, flowers and fauna.
But the best bit is the natural age to the brass showing all the patina and verdigris finish across the surface.
Would make a wonderful decorative display piece of vase for flowers.
