Full Description
This Indian teak linen cupboard combines a substantial timber carcass with an unusually open, decorative door. Broad outer framing supports a projecting moulded cornice, while the shaped lower plinth gives the tall cupboard a grounded outline.
The door provides the principal construction detail. Slender wooden strips cross diagonally to form an open lattice, with small brass studs marking their intersections. Heavier mouldings divide the front into three sections, framing diamond-shaped green glass panels and creating a repeated geometric arrangement.
Close inspection reveals a textured floral pattern within the glass. The green introduces a restrained contrast against the warm teak, while the lattice allows glimpses of the interior. Dark metal studs punctuate the applied mouldings, adding another layer of detail without obscuring the underlying framework.
