This German Westerwald stoneware jardinière with Arts & Crafts pedestal stand is a stunning example of 19th-century naturalistic design. Originating from the Westerwald region—famed for its durable grey-bodied stoneware and rich cobalt-blue decoration—this piece combines function and artistry.
The jardinière showcases intricate detailing, including ram’s heads, floral swags, foliage motifs, and mythical creature faces, all sculpted in relief. These organic, asymmetrical forms reflect the naturalistic ideals of the Arts & Crafts movement, echoing the beauty of the natural world.

Overall the condition is good and the condition is commensurate with its age. Unless specified ornaments or props shown are not included.
