These original Arts & Crafts copper and brass candlesticks date to the late 19th century, created during a period when British decorative arts favoured honest materials, functional beauty, and refined simplicity.
Designed in the manner of Christopher Dresser and produced by Benham & Froud, the pair displays hallmark Arts & Crafts detailing: domed copper bases, brass-knopped stems, elegantly shaped wooden handles, and carefully turned brass finials. The flower-petal capitals support traditional brass-lipped sconces, creating a silhouette that is both architectural and restrained.
