The Junior May Throne child’s oak garden chair by Gaze Burvill is a beautifully crafted scaled-down version of the iconic adult May Throne. Hand-made from quartersawn oak sourced from sustainably managed forests, this charming piece boasts a naturally silvered finish developed over decades of weathering.
Its steam-bent curved back and arms gently cradle small occupants, while traditional peg construction and subtly flared front legs ensure both sturdiness and elegance. The optional hand-carved initials—like 'AVA'—add a personal touch and may reflect the stock image once shown on the Gaze Burvill site.
Crafted near Alton, Hampshire, Gaze Burvill has produced some of the UK’s finest outdoor furniture for over thirty years. This particular chair, circa 20 to 30 years old, offers vintage appeal at a more accessible price than a new Junior May Throne, which retails from approximately £1,530.
Dimensions: 62 cm high, 60 cm wide, 43.5 cm deep, 31.5 cm seat height—perfectly proportioned for children yet retaining the majesty of the original design.

Condition: As you can imagine, our products have had a life before we got them, been used and cherished by many others before we received them. Therefore, you will see signs of ageing, natural wear, fading & marks which create their unique look. Structurally very sound.
