Ib Kofod-Larsen 1960's designed teak open armchair for GPlan
Quite a rare Ib Kofod-Larsen teak open armchair with black button backed cushions on the seat & back rest.
The chair has had new Fagas patent straps with integrated steel metal clips that are angled at 30 degrees inwards. These were the same as originally supplied back in the 1960's
Designer: Ib Kofod-Larsen (1921-2003) model 1b open armchair for G-PLAN circa 1965
Dimensions: 745 w x 880 d x 730 h (mm)
Condition: Very good condition, has been very well looked after. A few minor marks commensurate with its age.
Back in the 60's there was a lot of competition from Danish furniture brands and GPlan decided to introduce their own Danish influenced range designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen.
Beautiful curved arms run from back to front in the shape of small wings, such an elegant design. The side stretchers below the seat curve inwards on each side, giving the chair so many interesting view points. The armchair is a joy to behold.
Simple statement pieces by Ib Kofod-Larsen set in a prime position at home or in the office will always create a talking point.
Owning one should be everyone's aspiration.
