19th Century Convex Mirror in Regency Style
This 19th Century convex mirror in Regency style with shot ball detail, originally would have been placed in a dining room so the butler could discreetly keep an eye on the guests whilst having his back to them.
An original piece, the frame has been contemporised with a rich black. There is an inner ebonised border in a reeded detail surrounding the glass. The shot ball detail has had a silver gilt effect on them. The convex plate is original and has character marks commensurate with age.
This piece is of a very heavy construction at 690mm in diameter.
Great for bouncing light around a room, or simply keeping an eye on things.
